KINABALU (April 2nd, 2008) - The launching of the Chinese Restaurant's new signature dish Peking Duck as well as the newly enhanced a-la-carte menu was held at 1pm on April 2, 2008. Hyatt Regency Kinabalu has invited Datuk Dr. Yee Mo Chai as the guest of honor for this auspicious occasion, special guests include the hotel's board members, prominent business figures of Kota Kinabalu as well as a number of regular patrons of the Chinese Restaurant.
From April onwards, diners will find additional 32 items to the a-la-carte menu featuring our signature Peking Duck served as a two course meal along with a variety of cold Northern Chinese appetizers.

Peking Duck is one China's most famous exports; having acquired the skills from the kitchen of “made in China” of Grand Hyatt Beijing, our Chef has meticulously prepared this signature item of our restaurant using a proven recipe from “Made in China”. Patrons can now enjoy an interactive dining experience at their table when they order Peking Duck, as they witness our chef expertly removing crispy skin from the duck meat and present it with freshly prepared pancakes and condiments. In addition to the cuisines from the northern regions of china, another traditional Chinese, Beggar's Chicken will be introduced to the enhanced menu. The preparation time and cooking method of this elaborate dish makes it a decadent meal ideal for business entertainment, family gathering and celebration alike. |
As part of encouraging customers to dine at the Chinese Restaurant, and the opportunity for the restaurant to showcase it's new dishes, between April 6 and 30, diners who spend over RM150.00 on their food bill will stand a chance to wine a trip for two to Beijing with return airfares and a 3 night, 2 day stay at Grand Hyatt Beijing.
The Chinese Restaurant pride itself as a fully Halal restaurant. The wide selection of specialty dishes on the a-la-carte menu, innovation dim sums, Wednesday and Saturday night steamboat and monthly food promotions attract business lunch meetings and is suitable for all occasions.
